This learning community is designed for leadership teams from larger churches of 300+ regular attenders.
Some slightly smaller churches will be invited to participate if they can demonstrate that they have a ‘larger church mentality and vision’.
You will be part of a group of up to 10 churches from a range of different denominational and geographical backgrounds who are all committed to fulfilling the vision that God has given them and are already moving forward towards it.
Over an 18 month period you will work through common issues with churches facing similar issues and develop realistic and measurable strategies that will significantly equip your church for the next stage of its ministry. After each 2 day session you will leave with a clear action plan for what you intend to achieve over the next 6 months and an element of accountability for its implementation to the wider group is a key part of the process.

This learning journey will provide you with the opportunity to reflect on what's going on as well as imagining what could be and explore how those dreams can be turned into reality. We will spend time looking at issues such as identifying and changing the church’s culture, vision setting and strategic priorities, developing effective leaders, creating ‘whole-life’ disciples and making mission an integral and natural part of the life of the church.
You will receive expert input via our extensive faculty and tailored coaching, but most significantly you will be learning from one another by sharing stories, ideas and approaches.

By employing a collaborative learning approach such as this much of the input and knowledge comes from the front line of those involved in trying to reach out to our communities. This is not a course or set programme, and no specific model of 'doing church' is employed. There are no quick-fix answers and there are certainly no 'one-size-fits-all' solutions; however we believe that by working together with other teams you could dramatically increase the impact of your church and make significant progress in fulfilling your church’s vision and goals.

The learning community will meet for 2 days every 6 months (4 times in total). There will also be at least one 24 hour retreat for the senior leaders only and our Lead Academy team will keep in contact and be available to you in the intervening time. Although this community is non-residential we strongly suggest that you take the opportunity of staying together locally to benefit from the experience of being away as a team.

For us, even after one session, the Lead Academy has proven to be invaluable. Of all the leadership events I have attended this is the one that has given us genuine traction and application back in our church. We have found that Lead Academy has been a real catalyst for bold action and has fired our missional imagination
