Go and make disciples of all nations…teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded.
— Matthew 28:19-20
The only real expression of the gospel is a congregation of men and women who believe it and live by it.

Redefining and Reigniting Discipleship in your Community

Lead Academy believes that discipleship in the modern church is often neglected in favour of merely ‘caring’ and that there is a need to re examine what discipleship really looks like.  Lead Academy believes that churches should become spiritual fitness centres with a focus on how to grow in Christlikeness.

As church leaders, we need to establish a system of pastoring through ‘one-anothering’ while focusing on building disciple-making disciples.  Leadership Teams should increasingly see themselves as providing spiritual fitness centres to make disciples who are:

  • inspired by Purpose and Vision
  • growing through service and mission
  • supported and held accountable
  • journeying in community
  • becoming more Christ-like.
